401 What? Learn the Server Response Codes

Web servers lie at the heart of the Internet and it may surprise many people that they speak their own language. Server response codes communicate with web browsers and report the status of the requested web page or data and the state of the server itself. Knowing about response codes is vital when it comes to SEO for business serving the local community. The most important server codes are explained below.

200
This code is always good news. It means the server is properly servicing browser requests, and visitors are viewing web pages without issue. A well-maintained site will return mostly 200 codes.

301
A 301 code is a permanent redirect, which means that a web page has been changed or moved, and the browser will be taken to the new page automatically. Using a 301 is a very important step in keeping search engine rank when changing page URLs. Not using them could result in a serious penalty.

401
This code is returned by the server when an individual has entered credentials, such as a username and password, that are not recognized. A 401 code can be helpful to webmasters who are seeking a solution to an authentication or access problem.

403
A 403 code is issued when an unauthorized user attempts to gain access to an off-limits area of a website. This can happen because the pages or section are private or for administrator use only or because the user has been banned from accessing the site.

404
This code will be issued by the server when a page is removed or when a user types in a non-existent URL. Webmasters need to keep an eye on 404 codes to make sure they are not being returned in error, as this can wreak havoc with page rank.

500
A 500 error is very serious, as it means the server is not responding to any requests at all. This could be due to a crash or a misconfiguration that prevents requests from being handled in the right way. A 500 code must be looked into and corrected immediately, as it always means downtime and this could be very costly for a business.
For companies and individuals concerned about the SEO of websites, knowing about and responding to server codes can be the difference between success and failure.

You might fall in love with a browser which would have undergone a lot of changes with the passage of time. It has to be kept in mind that there will be certain features that will be kept back in order to make surfing a breezy experience. Certain browsers that are noteworthy make sure that you don’t miss even a single important extension related to it. Take a look at some of the best extensions which users recommend.

If you are looking at security as a major issue while browsing, then it is better to check out Web of Trust. It assures complete security while you browse. When you try to search, Web of Trust performs the job of scanning the database and keeps a check on their security. It consists of a circle with several unique colors that have varying degrees of safety. The colors are red, green and yellow. If the color is yellow, then it means that the final result will not be safe and you need to click the result after giving some thought. In case the color is green, then it signifies that you are completely safe and there is no need of concern. If red color is displayed, then it is an indication that it is not safe and you should avoid clicking the result. With the help of this extension, you will also be able to rank various end results of the search operation.

For those who are looking at a extension based on nifty using which they can manage the tabs with the help of various computers, they can go for Tab Cloud. With the help of Tab Cloud, users will be able to provide names to every single browser tab and also save the sessions. In addition to this, it is also possible to obtain several statistical information and details regarding tabs from one web browser to another. This facility is already present with Mozilla version 4. Cloud Tab has contributed a lot of additional add-ons as well. There are several advantages when you go for Cloud and you will be able to handle tabs in a much better manner. This proves to be extremely handy for users who have to keep a lot of tabs open all the time.

AutoCopy is a tool which places copies of the chosen content from the browser onto the clipboard. This happens automatically. Well! To be honest, this might not sound like an awesome deal because when you hit the certain keyboard shortcuts, the copying option gets enabled manually. One of the key reasons why many of them prefer Autocopy is because users will not be required to format while copying. There will be certain times during which you will have to copy certain content from WebPages and again paste it in the form of a text content. During such scenarios, Autocopy will be able to perform the job for you.

Some of us prefer an extension for password management. LastPass extension will be able to safeguard your entire login information and you will be automatically logged into websites. In addition to this, you will also be able to store all you credit card details, addresses, phone numbers and other various details which you might often need. All your details will be completely protected and they will also be synced with the devices that contain LastPass extension. The best part is that you will be able to login with ease and protect all your personal details.
